After taking down the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals series, things couldn’t be going worse for the Houston Rockets. The Rockets have lost three consecutive games, and have been without key bench player Danuel House Jr. for the last two following reports that he violated bubble protocol.

Yahoo! Sports initially reported that House allowed a woman who was believed to be a COVID-19 testing official into his room on Monday between Games 2 and 3 of the series. House denied meeting someone, per reports, did not play in Game 3 due to “personal reasons” as the NBA began to investigate House’s actions. House also missed Game 4 on Thursday.

On Friday, the NBA announced that House had left the bubble entirely following an NBA investigation found that House allowed an unapproved person into his room. According to the NBA, the person who entered House’s room was not approved to be inside the bubble.

“The NBA has concluded its investigation of a recent violation of campus health and safety protocols.  The findings are that:  (i) Houston Rockets forward Danuel House had a guest in his hotel room over multiple hours on September 8 who was not authorized to be on campus and (ii) no evidence was found that other players or staff had contact with the guest or were involved in this incident.”

The Rockets and Lakers will play Game 5 on Saturday.
