Serge Ibaka suffered an ankle injury in Game 5 vs Celtics and the Raptors have now released a report on if Ibaka would feature in Game 6.

As if being down 3-2 in the East Semi-Finals wasn’t enough stress on the Toronto Raptors, now they have to worry about whether or not their star forward, Serge Ibaka, will play tonight.

This is a win-or-go-home game for the Toronto Raptors as they were blown out in Game 5, 111-89. Fred VanVleet led all scorers for the Raptors in Game 5 with a mere 18 points.

Is Serge Ibaka playing today vs Celtics?

According to the injury report released by the Raptors, Serge Ibaka is listed ‘questionable’ and might not take the court. Moreover, even if he does, he would be on a minutes restriction.

With just over 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter of Game 5, Brad Wanamaker of the Celtics drove to the rim for a floater and made contact with Serge Ibaka underneath the basket. This caused Serge to fall to the fall in pain with seemed to be an ankle injury. He finished with just 7 points in 19 minutes off the bench

Serge Ibaka was initially very confident that he will return for Game 6 but apparently when he woke up on Tuesday morning, his ankle sprain seemed to have gotten worse, as he was seen roaming around the Bubble in a walking boot.

When asked about whether or not he will suit up for Game 6, he said he will wait and see how he feels during the Raptors morning shootaround.

Ibaka has been posting averages of 15 points and 8 rebounds during these Playoffs.

Will the Raptors be able to pull off a win without Serge Ibaka?

The Toronto Raptors looked fatigued, irritated and quite out-matched during Game 5. Ibaka was also seen getting frustrated at Kyle Lowry for picking up a technical foul.

The Celtics have looked like the better team throughout this series. The Raptors have no answer for the 3-headed offensive juggernaut the Celtics possess in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker, with or without Ibaka.
