Finn Balor beats Adam Cole to become 2-time NXT Champion

A singles match was scheduled between two of the longest reigning NXT Champions for the title. The story was there, a man on whose shoulders the brand was built, and another who took it to the next level. The two fought like alley cats, just looking to hurt each other.

Balor came out the victor after hitting a huge super 1916  to win the vacant title. he is now only the third man to win the title more than once. Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe are the other two.

The result seems a little obvious considering Cole is just coming off a title run while Balor is yet to win a title since moving back to the brand. It is however, the correct decision. It remains to be seen what this means for Cole and the Undisputed Era however. Will they be called up to the main roster or will they stay at NXT for a little while longer?
