The starting point guard of the Milwaukee Bucks Eric Bledsoe has been listed as questionable for their game against the Miami Heat today with a hamstring issue.

The Milwaukee Bucks got off to a rough start to their Conference Semifinal, blowing a double-digit lead they held for much of Game 1 to lose 115-104 to the Heat. A career best 40-point performance from Jimmy Butler, who scored 13 points in the last 6 minutes of the game, was majorly responsible for the Bucks’ loss.

Is Eric Bledsoe playing today vs the Miami Heat?

According to the injury report released by Bucks for Game 2, Bledsoe is listed as ‘questionable’ owing to his hamstring injury. He was also ‘limited’ at practice ahead of Game 2 and thus things don’t look very promising when it comes to game time for him on Wednesday.

Eric Bledsoe was diagnosed with a strain in his right hamstring in the Bucks’ Game 5 win over the Orlando Magic in the first round. He missed Game 1 of the Conference Semifinals against the Miami Heat with the same issue. There is no set timetable for his return yet.

Bledsoe is one of Mike Budenholzer’s most trusted members of the roster. The 6’1″ point guard is a dogged player on defense and can trouble Goran Dragic much more than George Hill. While Hill undoubtedly spaces the floor better for Giannis, he is more of a shooting guard. The Bucks will need a legitimate point guard during the end of the game.

The Bucks were only able to score 6 points in the final 6 minutes of their loss to the Heat. Despite flying off to a great start with a 40-point first quarter, their offense stuttered for the rest of the game. Khris Middleton, who had 21 points in the first half, finished with only 28 to his name. Giannis had a stinker of a game, scoring just 18 points.

Bledsoe also benefits the Bucks’ transition play immensely. One of the fastest guards in the NBA, Bledsoe is a strip-and-run threat for ages.
