WWE star Roman Reigns attacked by fan with briefcase.

Canadian wrestling fans are known for getting generally more excited than their United States’ counterparts, but this takes crazy to an entirely new level.

With the WWE having a house show in Victoria, British Columbia this past weekend, a wacky fan threw a replica Money in the Bank briefcase at Reigns during his bout against Bray Wyatt. According to Wrestle Zone, the briefcase hit Reigns in the back and neck, briefly interrupting the match.

According to multiple reports, Reigns had his back turned to the fan when he was hit by the briefcase.

The crowd jibed the fuming fan with a “kick him out” chant as authorities and security addressed the situation at ringside.

Reigns, whose real name is Joe Anoa’i, was able to finish the contest, but he appeared to be stunned and frustrated following the incident as he sat in the corner of the ring for about two minutes before deciding to continue the match.

The 30-year-old wrester from Tampa, Florida was booked in a street fight against Wyatt that he won and ran for 20 minutes.

This scenario is not new to WWE house shows as many in-ring performers have been victims of fan assaults.

During a South Africa tour in 2013, a disgruntled wrestling hooligan punched Randy Orton below the belt after winning his match.

I remember years ago before barriers this happened more than not though fans didn’t use a foreign object.
