Victor Ortiz Arrest : Ex-Boxing Champ arrested for assault with deadly weapon

Victor Ortiz was arrested by police for kicking a man at a Kenny Chesney concert over the weekend and released on $30,000 bail.

Victor Ortiz and his brother were in Pasadena’s Rose Bowl stadium to attend the show by country music singers Chesney and Jason Aldean, when they got involved in a verbal argument with another man.

The argument later escalated and resulted in the brothers’ arrest. TMZ reported, citing law enforcement officials, that at one point, the other man — whose identity has not been revealed — was on the ground during the fight and Ortiz kicked him. Police officials arrested “The Expendables 3” star and his brother during the concert on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon. The weapon was identified as Ortiz’s foot, TMZ reported.

Ortiz, who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 lbs, was later released on $30,000 bail, and has not yet commented on the incident. The 28-year-old was previously a WBC Welterweight Champion and had lost his title to Floyd Mayweather in 2011.
