Fears for Val Kilmer as he is seen wearing a tracheostomy tube after reassuring fans he is not battling throat cancer .
The Top Gun star was seen on Friday with the device around his neck and a red bandana loosely covering it.
The 55-year-old has been covering up his neck area quite a lot these days, and he even posted an image of himself to Facebook on Friday with the area completely covered. “I love reading in the sun,” Val wrote as a caption alongside the flick.
The actor has not addressed the chit-chat about the breathing aid, however he did set the record straight in October about rumors he had a tumor after being spotted at the UCLA Medial Center. “Thank you all for your love and support. There’s a rumor I’m unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA,” he wrote on Facebook at the time.
The January prior to his October visit, Kilmer was rushed to the ER to undergo tests for a possible tumor. “I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation … I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU,” Kilmer announced following his release from the hospital.
