Tucker Israel of Lake Nona (Orlando, Fla.) already owns a number of career passing state records, but last week he added the single game passing yardage record to his resume.

Israel, who broke Florida career records for completions, yards and touchdown passes earlier this season, set a state single-game record when he threw for 659 yards in a win over St. Cloud last week. That pushed the Clemson signee’s four-year total to 12,133.

The national record of 18,932 was set by current Missouri sophomore starter Maty Mauk as a Kenton, Ohio, high schooler.

Lake Nona is 5-2 with three regular season games to go and is almost certain to play at least one playoff game. If Israel continues his 2014 pace over four games he would finish with close to 13,600 career yards. That could push him into the top 10.

Israel has thrown for 2,467 yards and 30 TDs this year and 136 TDs over four seasons.
