Tommy Lee rollercoaster fail: Star gets stuck upside down on his drum kit during Motley Crue's final

Tommy Lee was left dangling upside down at the Staples Centre on New Year’s Eve after his drum rollercoaster broke down mid-air during Mötley Crüe’s final show.

The roller coaster stunt was supposed to be one of the highlights on Motley Crue’s concert but it gave Tommy Lee the nightmare. The drummer got stuck upside down during the rock band’s final show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on New Year’s Eve.

The drum kit roller coaster worked well in the first half of the show but it suddenly stopped during a turn. Lee kept it professional by continue playing while crew scrambled up the structure to fix the problem. He was drumming to “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, followed by “Go” by The Chemical Brothers.

Lee chose to take it lightly, joking while suspended “It looks like the roller coaster is broken, well f**k the roller coaster! Come on guys, help. Come get me. I can’t believe this is happening on the last night. I knew something wasn’t right when I took off.”

The drum kit was eventually lowered and the crowd chanted “Tommy”. Lee proceeded to the stage to finish the show and got back in time to ring in 2016 with the fans.
