Tiger Woods : 'Cheater' banner flies over golfer at US Open - Watch

Tiger Woods got “Bobby Flay’ed” during his worst performance at the 115th U.S. Open, when someone flew a “cheater” banner overhead while he played.

It didn’t help that while Tiger struggled an airplane circled overhead with the word “cheater” on a giant banner trailing behind it, uncannily similar to the banner that was flown above Hollywood Boulevard while celebrity chef Bobby Flay (in the midst of a messy divorce from actress Stephanie March) was being honoured with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame a few weeks back. (March claims no responsibility for the banner, and it’s not known if there is any connection between the two incidents; Tiger recently broke up with Olympic ski racer Lindsey Vonn, with rumours that Tiger’s cheating was to blame.)

As reported by Us Weekly, Tiger got off to “a historically rough start” at the first round of the 115th U.S. Open, and things went downhill from there when he got stuck in the rough on the eighth hole and he lost his grip, sending his club hurling through the air.

Onlookers captured Tiger’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day on social media, ushering in the birth of the #SadTigerIsSad hashtag when he missed what should have been an easy putt:
