Marcus Rashford Manchester United deal

Ed Woodward is reportedly looking to give Manchester United star Marcus Rashford a new double-your-money deal.

Rashford’s future has been the subject of much speculation at Manchester United and he has failed to cement a regular starting spot in Jose Mourinho’s side.

The England international, reports have suggested is wanted by Real as part of a double deal that could see Los Blancos raid Tottenham for Christian Eriksen.

But according to the Daily Star, United intend to offer Rashford a huge pay rise that could see the 21-year-old’s wages rocket from £75,000 a week to £150,000 a week.

The report suggests that United’s executive vice-chairman Woodward wants the new deal to be signed before the end of the season.

Aaron Ramsey saga

Arsenal are desperate to avoid a repeat situation of the Aaron Ramsey contract saga.

Ramsey will be a free agent come the summer, although he can sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club as of January when the transfer window reopens.

Manchester United and Juventus are among the clubs interested in striking a deal for the Welshman, who is currently the Gunners’ longest-serving player.

And Sanllehi has admitted he doesn’t want the Gunners to find themselves in a similar position again.

When asked for his thoughts on Ramsey’s contract, he said: “To your particular question on the length of contracts: it is no secret that the sooner you leave out the uncertainty of the length of the contract, the better.

“You should try to avoid always going into the last year of a contract for all reasons – from the club’s side and also for the player.”

Juan Mata worry

Manchester United ace Juan Mata is worrying Red Devils fans as he reportedly delays the decision over his future.

Mata is in talks over extending his contract with his current deal ending in the summer of 2019.

It’s believed he has been offered a new contract to stay at Old Trafford and it’s been claimed he wants to stay.

However ESPN now report that all is not straightforward and it’s set to worry Manchester United fans.

It’s been suggested that Mata is prepared to wait before making his final decision, potentially opening doors to offers for the Spaniard.

Liverpool agreement with Barcelona

Liverpool have reportedly struck a transfer agreement with Barcelona over the sale of future players.

Philippe Coutinho was sold to Barcelona in January for a fee of £142million and his departure was a big blow to Liverpool.

The Reds are already in the throes of putting together their plans ahead of the January window.

Recent reports suggested the Catalan giants are hopeful they can recoup as much as £100million for the 21-year-old.

And according to Spanish paper AS, Barca and Liverpool have reached an agreement that the La Liga giants can’t sign a player from the Anfield outfit for the next three years.

Paul Pogba to leave Man Utd

Paul Pogba is angling to leave Manchester United and wants to engineer a shock return to Juventus, Italian paper Corriere dello Sport claims.

So much so, that he has told his former Juventus team-mates he wants to rejoin the Bianconeri.

Corriere dello Sport claims Juve are hopeful they can capitalise on Pogba’s breakdown in relationship to prise him away from the Red Devils.

Pogba and Jose Mourinho have had numerous bust-ups in recent months.

Chelsea swap deal

Real Madrid are willing to offer Gareth Bale in a swap deal involving Eden Hazard, Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda reckons.

“Real Madrid are pressing very hard to sign Hazard in January,” Inda told OK Diario.

“The last chance for Chelsea to take a pasture for the player is this winter.

“It is possible to barter with Bale.”

Adrien Rabiot ‘agrees’ Barcelona switch

Arsenal boss Unai Emery looks to have missed out on a reunion with PSG star Adrien Rabiot.

And that’s because Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Rabiot has told Barcelona officials that he wants to join next summer.

It’s claimed that Rabiot, 23, will ignore PSG’s attempts to extend his contract at the Parc des Princes beyond June 2019.

The report says that director of football Eric Abidal flew to Paris to speak with Rabiot and PSG to discuss a free transfer next year – although no official agreement has been struck.

Barcelona believe that PSG are the only genuine rival for his signature despite the fact Emery shares a good relationship with Rabiot having worked together in the French capital.

Wanted: Brahim Diaz

Real Madrid are looking to sign Manchester City talent Brahim Diaz.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim the European champions will approach Diaz IF he doesn’t sign a new contract before next summer.

The Spain Under-21 star is out of contract at the Etihad in June 2019, but will lose him for nothing if they fail to persuade him to sign a new contract.

The Daily Mail add that Real Madrid have some pretty high-level back-up options with Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen on the shortlist.

It’s claimed that Chelsea star Eden Hazard remains their top-priority but should the Belgian extend his deal at Stamford Bridge they will look elsewhere.

Pulisic deal on

Christian Pulisic is ‘bound’ for the Premier League – but not until the summer, the Mirror say.

Chelsea and Liverpool are keen on the USA international, who has impressed for Borussia Dortmund.

But, despite there being just 18 months on his contract, he will stay put until the summer.

Pulisic is said to have told team-mates he wants to move to England, though, in a huge breakthrough for the Premier League duo.

Unai Emery has decided to offload Mohamed Elneny in January.

The Egypt international is yet to play in the Premier League under Emery this season.

And according to The Sun, Emery is desperate to pocket £15m for Elneny in the January transfer window.

Should Emery’s wish be granted and Elneny leaves Arsenal, the Gunners want Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals as his replacement.

Lionel Messi to stop Neymar return

Lionel Messi’s strained relationship with Neymar will hinder any stunning Nou Camp return for the Brazilian, Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda says.

“Some think that Neymar is going back to Barcelona,” he told OK Diario.

“He cannot go back because of how things ended up with Messi and financial fair play.

“The relationship [with Messi] was regrettable. With Luis Suarez the relationship is exceptional.”
