Former Red Devils star Paul Ince believes the World Cup winner needs to show more desire for the club.
Pogba only started on the bench against Arsenal on Wednesday after a poor performance against Southampton at the weekend.
And Ince thinks the World Cup winner needs to look to the likes of Herrera or be ‘shown the door’ by Mourinho.
“Ander Herrera might not be the best player on the planet,” he told Paddy Power.
“But he gets United, he gets what it means to play for them and you can see he really wants to win.
“He has that desire which Romelu Lukaku, and particularly Pogba don’t seem to understand.
“There’s a true honour around playing for the club.
“And if you don’t get that, as far as I’m concerned you should be shown the door.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s Manchester United or Morecambe.
“If Mourinho’s seen that in his players, then he’s got every right to not play the likes of Pogba, Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
“They deserve to be told.”
Mourinho insists he was happy with the performance of Pogba on Wednesday when he came on against Arsenal though.
“I think Paul came on and gave a good contribution and brought freshness and power and different qualities to the attacking players,” he said.
Pogba will hope to start against Fulham in the Premier League tomorrow (3pm).
United only hold realistic hopes of finishing in the top four now as they trail leaders Manchester City by a massive 18 points.
