Brock Lesnar: Why Bobby Lashley is sure a WWE dream match against the UFC hero will happen | WWE | Sport

Lashley made a name for himself in Bellator and Strikeforce whereas Lesnar is considered a UFC legend following his successful three-year stint in Dana White’s promotion.

Their backgrounds, strength and athleticism are pretty similar and so the WWE Universe is very keen to see the two super heavyweights squaring off in the ring.

The Dominator is very confident that the match will ultimately happen one day because there is a lot of public demand for it.

The ex-ECW Champion told SPORTbible after being asked if he would like to share the squared circle with the ex-UFC Heavyweight Champion: “Absolutely.

“I can post anything on social media and the people will reply, ‘We wanna see you and Brock’.

“It’s something that has been building for the last 10 years so eventually it’s gonna happen because the fans want it to happen that bad.”

Lashley almost faced Lesnar at SummerSlam for the Universal Championship shortly after he defeated WWE poster boy Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules.

However, the ex-US Champion then took Reigns on in a rematch that would determine the No1 Contender for the belt and lost.

Lesnar recently became the man to beat on RAW once more after his historic victory at WWE Crown Jewel which made him the first ever two-time Universal Champion.

The Conqueror defeated Braun Strowman for the vacant title in Saudi Arabia shortly after Reigns announced he has leukaemia and relinquished the belt.

The Beast had some unwanted assistance from Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin at Crown Jewel as he knocked Strowman out with the belt before the bell.

The six-time world champion though took advantage of the opportunity and regained the Universal Championship after hitting The Monster Among Men with five F5s.

Lesnar is now set for a huge Survivor Series match as he will take on WWE Champion AJ Styles on November 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The two wrestling legends faced off last year in the historic Pay-Per-View event in an incredible match that saw the MMA hero coming out on top.

Lesnar seems set to also return to the Octagon some time next year for a Heavyweight Championship showdown against Daniel Cormier.
