Rafael Nadal Reaches China Quarters, criticizes ball

Rafael Nadal continued in his positive return to the ATP Tour, following up on his impressive 1st Round win against Richard Gasquet, by beating German Qualifier Peter Gojowczyk 6-3 6-4 in 1 hour and 44 minutes.

The Spaniard, playing in his first tournament in 13 weeks after returning from a wrist injury, won 85 per cent of his first service points against the German. The number two seed took an hour and 45 minutes to seal victory and set up a last eight clash with Martin Klizan of Slovakia at the ATP 500 event.

“I think I played a good first set and the second set I played with a little bit more nerves than what I had to but I was able to win and to find the solutions so that gave me the opportunity to play again tomorrow and try my best again,” said Nadal after his victory.
