CNN anchor Poppy Harlow had a bit of a scare on TV Monday morning.
Poppy Harlow left viewers worried during a Monday morning broadcast after she apparently passed out while introducing a new poll to the show’s audience.
After receiving a report from correspondent Becky Anderson, Harlow began to introduce a new CNN/ORC poll that showed 75 percent of Americans are unsatisfied with the way the war against ISIS is going.
“Bad news for the Obama administration, we have this new CNN-ORC poll which is quite a … quite a turnaround in … in a … ,” Harlow said, suddenly breathing heavily and trailing off.
A graphic for the poll remained onscreen, and the broadcast cut to commercial. When the show returned, Brian Stelter had to host for a few segments, later turning the reigns back over to Harlow.
The hashtag #PoppyHarlow began circulating on Twitter as viewers speculated on what happened during the broadcast.
“For all of you who are asking if I’m OK, thank you so much,” Harlow told viewers when she returned to the air. “I got a little hot and I passed out for a moment. I am fine.”
A few hours after the incident, Harlow, who is expecting a child, tweeted that she and her baby are doing just fine.
