PJ Williams : Former FSU CB arrested on DUI charge, police say

P.J. Williams, the Florida State cornerback who was the defensive MVP of the 2014 BCS Championship game, was arrested for DUI.

P.J. Williams, a potential first-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, was arrested at 3:08 a.m. in Leon County, according to a report from NFL.com. Tallahassee is located in Leon County, and Williams was in town following FSU’s pro day on Tuesday.

A stellar showing at the pro day – Williams said he was clocked in the 4.3 range when running the 40-yard dash – helped elevate his draft stock, but the arrest will likely raise questions among NFL teams about future potential off-field issues.

P.J. Williams was involved in another traffic accident in October along with then teammate Ronald Darby. The two initially left the scene of the accident by foot, but returned, according to the New York Times. Williams, who was the driver, was not tested for intoxication by the Tallahassee Police Department. He did, however, receive traffic tickets for an improper left-hand turn and unknowingly driving with a suspended license. Both cars involved in the accident were totaled.
