Pat Sajak Raps Rae Sremmurd’s ‘No Type’ on ESPN, If Sajak is known for anything, it’s his time as the host of Wheel of Fortune. He’s one of the most well-known game show hosts in history, and for good reason: he’s funny, he’s likable and he’s good with the contestants. He’s right up there with Alex Trebec in terms of notoriety – however, if there’s one thing Pat Sajak isn’t known for, it’s rapping.
Featured as a guest on ESPN’s Highly Questionable, longtime Wheel Of Fortune host Pat Sajak showed us all just how uhh.. hip he can be. When game shows decide to reference Hip-Hop, they usually go with trivia related to a high profile veteran rap star like JAY Z.
This time however, Pat Sajak and Highly Questionable regular Papi showoff their tag team rap skills with their rendition of Rae Sremmurd‘s hit “No Type.” Between Papi’s accent and Pat Sajak’s “normcore” personality, their rendition is just as awkward as you would imagine. It’s just too bad this version doesn’t include original lyrics like “Buying vowels is the only thing that I like.”
Rae Sremmurd’s Sremm Life EP drops on January 6, so there’s hope that we might get a few more random covers of the young Mississippi duo’s turn-up tunes before then.
