No-Kardashian-parking signs? Banksy of Los Angeles Plastic Jesus Trolls Kardashians with Latest Work

Los Angeles based artist Plastic Jesus placed multiple ‘No Kardashian Parking’ signs around Los Angeles.

Signs have cropped up all over town telling the famous family they need find elsewhere to park their 4x4s as they are no longer welcome in certain areas of town.

The signs plastered across Hollywood say ‘No Kardashian parking at any time’ and, although they look official enough, are the work of a street artist.

Plastic Jesus is responsible for forbidding the parking, and it’s supposedly a comment on ‘America’s obsession with celebrity.’

The artist revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that when he saw paps going nuts for one of the sisters leaving her shop, the inspiration hit him.

‘The Kardashian family has become ingrained in our culture. We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions.’

He blames the celeb-obsessed culture on consumers.

‘Without us, there would be no market for the Kardashians. We are equally, if not more so, to blame.’

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the local police have dubbed it as a ‘case of vandalism’.

The artist recently made waves when they placed an Oscars statue apparently snorting cocaine labelled ‘Hollywood’s Best Party’ in town.

Plastic Jesus has posted on their site ‘Note : These signs will only be up for a limited time. They will be removed to cause minimal damage and disturbance to the urban environment.’

It also explains: ‘Plastic Jesus is a Los Angeles based street artist that specialises in bold stencil and installation work, inspired by world news events, society, the urban environment, culture and politics.’
