A day after Nita Moseley’s body was found in her Texas home on Saturday, her 14-year-old son disappeared but was later apprehended and charged with murder.
A neighbor became concerned when he drove by Nita Moseley’s home and saw her door open.
Fearing there had been a break-in he stopped to check. Inside he found Moseley’s body. Investigators say it had been there for several days.
“My family is grieving, they are hurt,” Moseley’s sister Betty Simons sobbed. “We’re just lost without her.”
Simons told KPRC. “There’s nothing bad to say about her. She was beautiful, and smart, and so easy to love.”
Even more shocking, cops arrested Mosely’s 14-year-old son and charged him with murder. And that’s not all. Moseley was pregnant. Officers say the boy is cooperating with investigators.
The boy’s father told KPRC, “my son is a good kid who was dealt a bad deck of cards.” He went on to say, “this is a story that will let people know that families need to stick together. When they don’t, this is the kind of thing that takes place.”
Simons seemed to argue the point saying, “people need to know that no matter what they’re hearing, she loved him.”
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
