Mom Pole Dances With Child - Video : Ashley Wright includes baby in 'Circle of Life' pole dancing routine

Mom pole dances with child on her back? For many women, balancing motherhood and caring for a young child can be a tricky juggling act.

But activist Ashley Wright decided to prove that mothers CAN keep fit whilst keeping their babies close-by.

Ashley- who is an advocate of attachment parenting- decided to film herself performing a pole dancing routine to The Circle of Life from hit Disney movie The Lion King.

Not only is Ashley able to lift herself up the pole, but she intensified the workout by including her baby daughter, Shannon, in the routine.

The mum-of-one kept active throughout her pregnancy, pole dancing up until she was over 6 months pregnant.

Along with the video, Wright wrote a caption that explains why she chooses to include her daughter in her routines.”When I dance, it is not simply because I enjoy it,” she wrote in her video post. “I dance because it is a part of being human; a part of who I am. It is a projection of my freedom. This is who I am. And this is why I dance. And most certainly why I dance with my daughter.”

Despite the noise from online haters, it appears from a statement on her Facebook page that Wright isn’t letting all the backlash get to her:

It is no surprise that many are put-off, and even more confused, by this shared display of divine femininity, sensual acceptance, power and open, unapologetic love for self and for my child. Unfortunately, many did not receive nor have bared witness to this form of love and therefore only see what is they can connect with; shame … I do not expect everyone to understand me nor my ‘parenting style’ for progression is few for most.
