Milwaukee Bucks' Larry Sanders gets drug suspension

Milwaukee Bucks’ Larry Sanders banned 10 games for drug use, the league announced the suspension on Friday.

Sanders’ suspension will begin Monday when the Bucks host the Toronto Raptors. It will continue until he’s in full compliance with his treatment program.

The Milwaukee Bucks issued the following statement Friday:

“We are disappointed to learn the news of Larry’s suspension. We will continue to work with Larry and the league to ensure he has the support he needs.”

Last season, the 6-foot-11 shot-blocking center had an orbital bone fracture and a thumb injury. Sanders also had off-court issues after signing a four-year, $44 million contract extension.
