Melissa McCarthy: Actress reveals major weight loss in new pictures for her label

Melissa McCarthy has featured in the holiday 2015 campaign for her eponymous label. The actress and comedienne debuted her fashion line Melissa McCarthy Seven7 in September. McCarthy posed for the camera while wearing a few of her own designs.

In the festive pics — shot by famed photographer Brian Bowen Smith — the 45-year-old funny woman is decked from head-to-toe in seasonal looks from her label.

While McCarthy hasn’t revealed exactly how much weight she’s lost, the mother-of-two has reportedly dropped more than 22kgs.

The Bridesmaids star recently opened up about her decision to venture into plus-size fashion, explaining, “I think most women in the US are a 14. I think like 72 per cent of women are a 14.

“So I think it’s a little insane if you’re in this business to tell your biggest section of clientele that you don’t want their business.

“There is just this weird thing about how we perceive women in this country. I would love to be a part of breaking that down.”

The Mike & Molly star opened up about her weight loss tactic back in June after reaching her goal. “I truly stopped worrying about it,” she told Life & Style at the time. “I stopped over-analysing, over-thinking, overdoing anything.

“I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could’ve figured that out before 44, but whatever.”

The Oscar-nominated actress sports several of her new designs in the photo shoot, including skirts, jeans and leggings. The range — which is currently sold in stores like Macy’s, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s — features a variety of styles and pieces, ranging from a size 4 — 28.

Fans will next see McCarthy star in 2016 comedy The Boss, along with Peter Dinklage, Kristen Bell, Kathy Bates, and Kristen Schaal.

The Boss hits cinemas in April, 2016.
