Marshawn Lynch fined $11050 for unsportsmanlike conduct on finish of run against Cardinals

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been fined $11,050 by the NFL for grabbing his crotch while leaping into the end zone last Sunday at the end of his epic touchdown run.

“I think that may have been better than the BeastQuake,” quarterback Russell Wilson said about Lynch’s overall touchdown run in a postgame interview.

It was very similar to the original Beast Quake run on Jan. 8, 2011. That 67-yard touchdown run was in the fourth quarter of a NFC wild-card playoff game against the New Orleans Saints. It’s called the Beast Quake because the celebration was so loud it registered on a nearby seismograph.

Lynch also made the same crotch-grab gesture and backwards dive at the end of that run. But Lynch was not penalized for his actions on that play.

The Seahawks final regular season game is Sunday at 1:25 p.m. against the St. Louis Rams at CenturyLink Field.
