Maria Bartiromo Moves to Mornings in FBN Reshuffle

Maria Bartiromo to Early Morning, Neil Cavuto Moves to Afternoon.

FBN is replacing Imus with a Maria Bartiromo-anchored business news shows show, “Morning Money with Maria Bartiromo,” taking over the 6 a.m.-9 a.m. timeslot and following a 5 a.m. market-focused show.

Following Bartiromo’s three-hour program will be an expanded “Varney & Company,” also airing for three hours from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Neil Cavuto will take over from there in a new move to daytime, taking his “Cavuto: From Coast to Coast” from noon to 2 p.m.

The network is also introduced a new program helmed by Trish Regan, who joined FBN last month. “Trish Regan Intel” will take the 2 p.m. slot, replacing Melissa Francis’ ended “Money.”

Liz Claman’s “Countdown to the Closing Bell” remains at 3 p.m. “After the Bell” will follow at 4 p.m., now co-anchored by David Asman and Melissa Francis.

“With a reengineered lineup and a 5 AM start time, we’re providing non-stop financial news with unparalleled market coverage and analysis,” Roger Ailes, chairmand and CEO of Fox News Channel and FBN, in the announcement. “Replacing Imus with a business news morning show anchored by Maria Bartiromo and adding Neil Cavuto to two hours in daytime enables FBN to have tremendous depth. We’re also pleased to welcome Trish Regan and her fresh take on economic trends which will complement our coverage.”

The network has also cancelled the Gerri Willis’ “The Willis Report,” though she will stay with both FBN and Fox News Channel to provide finance and consumer news across both networks.

The daytime lineup will be rounded out by Deirdre Bolton’s “Risk & Reward,” which moves to 5 p.m. “Making Money with Charles Payne” will stay at 6 p.m., with “Lou Dobbs Tonight” at 7 p.m. Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery’s “Kenny” will air at 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, while John Stossel’s eponymous program will take over the hour on Friday nights.
