Man's Dog Helps Police Bust Him On Drug Charge

Police in central Alabama say a man’s own dog helped officers bust him on a drug charge.

Prattville Police say they when they came to Edwin Melvin Henderson’s house with a search warrant, the man took off, heading for the fields near his home and quickly losing police in the long grass.

But Henderson was rumbled when an officer told the suspect’s dog, Bo, ‘go get him’, and the dog ran into the field, searched out his master and stood over him, wagging his tail.

Police spokeswoman Paula Barlow said Henderson is charged with failure to obey police, manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
