Man City vs Liverpool: Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero updates

Mohamed Salah was rested for the weekend’s Merseyside derby because of a groin problem he picked up in the first leg but returned to training with a fitness coach today.

Reds captain Jordan Henderson is suspended after being shown a late yellow card in the 3-0 win at Anfield.

Young forward Ben Woodburn has returned to training after a month-long absence, but Klopp is still awaiting updates on left-backs Andrew Robertson and Alberto Moreno.

Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero could make his first start for more than a month as Manchester City seek to overturn a three-goal deficit at the Etihad.

The Argentina striker returned to action following a knee injury as a late substitute in Saturday’s derby loss to Manchester United.

There may still be a doubt over centre-half John Stones, who missed the derby with a muscle problem, but left-back Benjamin Mendy (knee) is the only definite absentee.
