Madonna releases six tracks on iTunes

Madonna releases six tracks from her forthcoming album ‘Rebel Heart’, The 56-year-old singer sparked outrage with the comparisons made in an Instagram post, which was later deleted.

“I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating,” Madonna said. “Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.”

The six songs released this weekend include Living for Love, Illuminati and Devil Pray.

“I was hoping to release my new single ‘Living For Love’ on Valentine’s Day with the rest of the album coming in the Spring,” she said.

“The decision to release the songs much earlier than anticipated was due to the leaking of several work-in-progress demos earlier this week.”

Madonna described the leaking of 13 tracks from the album earlier this week as “artistic rape”.

Despite being available for less than a day, the songs have already bumped to the top of Madonna’s offerings on iTunes.

Additional music will be released on February 9 next year, ahead of the album’s expected release in March. Collaborators on the upcoming album include Avicii, Diplo and Nicki Minaj.

Rebel Heart will be the singer’s 13th album, and comes two years after her last full-length album MDNA.
