LeBron James’ ‘frustration level has been visibly high’ with Lakers (Details).

LeBron James’ debut season with the Los Angeles Lakers got off to a rough start with the team stumbling out of the gate with a 3-5 record. While the Lakers righted the ship to some extent before James went down with a groin injury on Dec. 25, a report suggests that his patience is nevertheless being tested.

According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, James’ “frustration level has been visibly high” at certain points this season.

Amid the suspicion that James’ patience may be wearing thin is a report that his camp may prefer a coaching change. Luke Walton’s job was said to be safe as recently as a few weeks ago, not to mention he appears to still have the support of one influential member of the organization, so James’ influence on such matters remains to be seen.

The fact that James has been exhibiting noticeable frustration this season as he acclimates himself to a new team and new players is hardly surprising. In fact, James himself mentioned in October how his patience may be tested in his first season in L.A.

Further, James has never been one to accept the status quo, and that’s even when his teams are making runs at the NBA Finals, which the Lakers at this point seemingly are not.

That obviously could change should the Lakers figure out a way to acquire Anthony Davis ahead of the Feb. 7 trade deadline, although at this stage that has all the appearances of a long shot.
