Knightley Defends Shoot : Star defends her decision to pose topless

Keira Knightley defends her untouched, topless photo shoot, Sopranos creator talks possibility of a prequel, Khloe Kardashian talks closure after divorce, and more First Dibs.

In an interview with The Times, the newlywed said she wanted her fans to know what she really looked like as she’s been photoshopped so much.

She said: “I’ve had my body manipulated so many different times for so many different reasons, whether it’s paparazzi photographers or for film posters.

“That’s why she decided this photo shoot would be different.

“That was one of the ones where I said, ‘OK, I’m fine doing the topless shot so long as you don’t make them any bigger or retouch.’

“Because it does feel important to say it really doesn’t matter what shape you are.”

“I think women’s bodies are a battleground and photography is partly to blame. Our society is so photographic now, it becomes more difficult to see all of those different varieties of shape.”

Keira’s breasts were famously inflated on the film poster for King Arthur causing her to blast “those things aren’t mine”.
