Kevin Love claims he and LeBron James aren't 'Best friends'

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love said his relationship was “evolving” with superstar LeBron James, admitted the two were not close, and picked a former teammate over James for NBA MVP in separate interviews with national media today.

When asked about his relationship with LeBron, Love replied that they are “not best friends.” He elaborated that they see each other every day at practices and games but don’t hang out.

While this is not necessarily an indication that Love dislikes LeBron, it may be a sign that he wants to leave Cleveland after the 2015 season.

However, Love has said that he intends to remain in Cleveland beyond this season. This is even more likely if the Cavaliers can win an NBA title for the first time in franchise history.

Love is also not set to become a free agent until 2016 even though he can opt out of his current contract.

NBC Sports reported on Love’s comments on Twitter.
