Kate Middleton style trends : Duchess Has a New Stylist

In case you’re wondering why Kate Middleton’s been wearing shorter hemlines, sheer pieces and younger-looking ensembles, it’s because she’s enlisted a new stylist. More surprisingly, she’s hired her former personal assistant, 27-year-old Natasha Archer, for the job.

According to Vanity Fair’s Royal Watch, Archer has been helping Middleton think differently when shopping and given her the guts to try out some different styles.

“Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on,” says the source.

Apparently, Middleton is starting to accept the fact that she is getting a bit older but is trying to avoid falling into the pit of typical royal styles. She wants be seen as fashion-forward and on-trend, according to E!, something Archer is obviously helping a great deal with. She weighs in heavily on Middleton’s possibilities, but in the end the duchess has the final say over what she wears when walking out the door.
