Jerry Collins Dies - Update : Rugby star's child in 'worrying state'

Baby Alya, the three-month-old daughter of former All Black Jerry Collins, remains “worrying” condition, French officials have said.

“The state of the health of Ayla still remains worrying,” Yvon Clavet said overnight in a statement, news agency AFP reports.

Ayla was injured on Friday in a road accident that killed Collins and his partner Alana Madill. The car Ms Madill was driving was hit by a bus.

Friends of Collins have visited his body in France and family members are making arrangements for his funeral in New Zealand.

Family of Ms Madill are in France and were with Ayla.

Collins captained the All Blacks three times and played 48 Tests.
