Jermaine Kearse : Seattle Seahawks WR catches bobbled ball! - Watch

Jermaine Kearse was an inexplicably bad play call away from being a Super Bowl hero. Seattle Seahawks’ made a ridiculous catch in the dying minutes of Super Bowl 49, setting up a tense finish between the defending champions and New England Patriots.

In the same stadium (University of Phoenix Stadium) that New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree made that famous helmet catch, the Seahawks receiver made an equally impressive catch that had Patriots fans thinking “not again!”.

With Seattle looking for the go-ahead touchdown, Russell Wilson let rip on a deep ball towards Kearse, who was streaking down the sideline.

Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler did all he could getting an outstretched hand to the ball, but the tip would take a favourable Seattle spin as it fell into Kearse’s lap and he juggled it on the ground.

Thankfully for Patriots Nation, the play didn’t end up costing them the game as Wilson was intercepted moments later by Butler who sealed a 28-24 win for New England
