Jeff Gordon’s rainbow paint scheme will return for one race this year in Gordon’s final Sprint Cup season, according to NBC Sports.
The four-time NASCAR champion will have a rainbow paint scheme for next month’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway. It will be part of his good-bye tour. Gordon will retire from full-time racing at the end of the 2015 season.
Gordon earned the nickname “Rainbow Warrior” for multi-colored race car he drove the first nine years of his Cup career. He won three of his four career championships and 52 of his 92 career series victories with the colorful paint scheme.
NASCAR visits Bristol Motor Speedway the weekend of Aug. 22.
