Jason Derulo : Pop star Removed From Plane After Airport Confrontation

Jason Derulo kicked off plane headed to Teen Choice Awards.

The “Try Me” singer (and let’s not forget So You Think You Can Dance judge) reportedly got into a shouting match with a Southwest employee when one of his bodyguards wasn’t allowed to pre-board the plane with the rest of the posse.

“One eyewitness says an employee from the airline told Derulo and crew they would not be allowed to take the flight, but they went through security anyway,” reports TMZ. “Our sources say Jason and crew boarded but soon thereafter airport cops came on board and removed them from the flight.”

However, a rep for Derulo says the singer requested an escort so he and his entourage could get through the airport faster because TSA precheck was down, and they were refused.

“When they called bulls**t, the rep says airport staff refused to let Jason’s crew get on the flight, but she says Jason was allowed on,” adds TMZ in an update. “It appears other members of his crew got on as well, and that’s why airport cops came and escorted them all off.”

TMZ reports that Derulo managed to hire a private jet in order to make it to Saturday’s gig in L.A. on time, and “they’re extremely upset with the way Southwest Airlines handled the situation.”

Following the incident, TMZ caught up with Jason in L.A., who revealed he’s planning to purchase his own set of wings. “It’s alright,” he quipped. “I’m buying a plane this month.”
