Interview Salary Leak : Sony hack reveals Seth Rogen, James Franco 'The Interview' salaries

The salaries of The Interview actors James Franco and Seth Rogen have been leaked after Sony pictures was hacked last week.

The leaks – unveiled on file-sharing site Pastebin – show the fee each actor was paid for the upcoming movie. According to Inside Movies, Seth took home more than $8.4 million for the movie which he co-wrote, co-directed and starred in. James is believed to have made $6.5 million for his part in the film, which reportedly cost $44 million to make.

“The Interview” follows Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Rogen) who run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong Un.

According to a Re/Code report, the cyber attack could be done by the hackers who worked in conjunction with North Korea for retaliation. Although there is no evidence to it, a spokesman for the country’s United Nations delegation did not deny its involvement in the attack. Despite the incident, Sony went on with its plan to promote and release “The Interview”. The studio has hired the security research firm Mandiant to help investigate the hack.
