• Serbia under-21 boss Radovan Curcic succeeded Dick Advocaat as coach of the senior national side.

• Jorgen Lennartsson, who led Elfsborg to the Swedish title in 2012, replaced Mikael Stahre as coach of Gothenburg, who finished runners-up this season.

• Six months after resigning, Dutchman Huub Stevens returned as coach of Stuttgart, replacing Armin Veh, who quit with the club bottom of the Bundesliga following a 1-0 loss at home to Augsburg.

• Former Fenerbahce and Turkey coach Ersun Yanal replaced Vahid Halilhodzic in charge of Trabzonspor.

• Vasile Miriuta left CFR Cluj of Romania to take charge of Hungarian side Gyor.


• Former Holland international Frans Thijssen was named interim coach of reigning A-League champions Brisbane Roar, replacing Mike Mulvey, who was sacked just six months after winning the title.



• Armin Veh resigned as coach of Stuttgart after a 1-0 loss at home to Augsburg left the team bottom of the Bundesliga.


• Former Portugal and Cameroon coach Artur Jorge took charge of Algerian side MC Alger, with the club bottom of the league after 10 games.

• Callisto Pasuwa resigned as coach of Dynamos after leading the club to a fourth successive Zimbabwe league title.
