Holly Madison ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ Tells Playboy Bunny’s Near-Suicide And Hugh Hefner Bunny Battles.
Madison may have starred as as a happy, confident model and mother on her reality show The Girls Next Door, but according to her new memoir, Down The Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, her real life while living in the Mansion was far from pleasant.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed the cover of the upcoming book, along with some spicy tidbits about what to expect from the tell-all.
According to a release, Madison’s life in the Mansion was filled with drama, depression and even thoughts of suicide.
“Life inside the notorious Mansion wasn’t a dream at all — and quickly became her nightmare,” the promotional material reveals. “After losing her identity, her sense of self-worth, and her hope for the future, Holly found herself sitting alone in a bathtub contemplating suicide.”
Rumors of the luxurious, yet strict lifestyle of Playboy Bunnies are widely-circulated, and Madison’s book seeks to set the record straight about her experiences there.
The book will bring to light the “oppressive routine of strict rules, manipulation, and [her] battles with ambitious, backstabbing bunnies.”
“I’m excited to finally share my story and what I’ve learned from my personal experiences both inside and outside of the Playboy Mansion,” Madison said in an interview. “I think my stories will surprise people and I’m looking forward to lifting the veil of mystique and clearing up the misconceptions so often associated with my life.”
With her depressing Playboy days well behind her, Madison is all smiles these days. Her marriage to Pasquale Rotella is still going strong (the two got married at Disneyland’s New Orleans Square in 2013) and her daughter, Rainbow recently turned two years old!
