Elena Delle Donne : Chicago Sky Star Named 2015 WNBA MVP

Elena Delle Donne is the WNBA’s most valuable player the league announced Wednesday.

It’s the top honor for the former Sky first round draft pick who is becoming one of the faces of the league. Elena Delle Donne won Rookie of the Year in 2013 and has been an All-Star in each of her three seasons.

By far her best campaign has been 2015 as Delle Donne has averaged a league-high 23.4 points a game while also grabbing 8.4 rebounds a contest and hitting 95 percent of free throw attempts. Her efforts have helped the Sky to a No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference for the upcoming WNBA Playoffs.

Elena Delle Donne and the Sky open the postseason tomorrow night against the Indiana Fever. They’ll play Game 1 in their best-of-three Eastern Conference Semifinal series at 7 PM at the UIC Pavilion.
