Eddie Rouse Of 'Pineapple Express' Dies at 60

Eddie Rouse, famous for Pineapple Express and American Gangster, dies aged 60

Eddie Rouse passed away on Sunday (07Dec14) at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles of liver failure, his manager Stephen Spacek told The Hollywood Reporter.

He had minor roles in American Gangster, Pineapple Express and The Number 23 before landing a bigger part in 2008 horror film Pandorum. He enjoyed a string of larger roles in 2012 movies Nature Calls, Being Flynn and Dragon Eyes.

Eddie Rouse recently filmed the pilot for sci-fi TV series Westworld, an adaptation of the 1973 film about two guests at a futuristic theme park who go on the run after an android becomes deadly.

His manager Spacek adds, “This was the thing he wanted so badly – to get in front of an audience to show the world what he was all about.”
