Dwayne Johnson Selfie : 'The Rock' breaks Guinness record for selfie

Dwayne Johnson sets a new selfie world record.

According to the Huffington Post, Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson (a.k.a. The Rock) is now a Guinness World Record-holder for “taking the most self-portraits (selfie) in three minutes.”

At the London world premier for his new action-thriller “San Andreas,” the 43 year-old actor reportedly captured 105 selfies.

“Using his smartphone camera, Dwayne Johnson snapped photographs of himself alongside fans who lined up to be a part of the exciting record attempt,” said Dan Thorne, writer for guinnessworldrecords.com.

Mark McKinley, Guinness World Records Adjudicator, was present at the premier to ensure that selfie rules were followed.

To achieve record-holder status, the photos were required to include the full face and neck of participants, in addition to recognizable faces and no blurring, reported Thorne.

Disclosing in his article that several photos were disqualified from the rapid fire selfie-taking spectacle, Thorne reported that Dwayne Johnson still managed to deliver 105 quality photos to achieve the title.

Dwayne Johnson shared his moment of glory with his Instagram fans saying, “We just set a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for most self-portraits (selfies) taken in record time (yup, a selfie world record exists and your arm gets a helluva workout).”

Writer for People.com, Tara Fowler wrote, “It was only the latest in The Rock’s awesome stunts,” stating that Dwayne Johnson had recently surprised a long-time fan by officiating his wedding.”
