Davante Adams suffered an injury to his right knee during Sunday’s playoff win over the Redskins.
The knee injury sustained in the third quarter of Sunday’s playoff win at Washington could sideline receiver Davante Adams for the Green Bay Packers’ NFC Divisional playoff game at Arizona.
Coach Mike McCarthy wouldn’t confirm the report but didn’t sound overly optimistic, either, that Adams would be ready to face the Cardinals.
“This is how these things normally go. Davante told me after the game he was fine, the trainers obviously feel differently than that and it’s usually somewhere in between,” McCarthy said on Tuesday.
Due in part to an ankle injury sustained in Week 2, Adams’ second season in the NFL was a major disappointment. Of the top 139 players in the league in receptions, Adams ranked 127th in catch percentage, tied for 118th in touchdowns and 135th in yards after the catch per catch.
