Chris Gatling Arrested? Former NBA player arrested on fraud charges

Chris Gatling was arrested for allegedly leading an illegal credit card and identification scam , according to TMZ Sports.

Chris Gatling was arrested on Thursday by Scottsdale Police Financial Crimes Detectives. Gatling allegedly met an owner of a fitness studio and he convinced her to run credit cards for his supposed internet business. The studio would get 10% in cash, and the remaining would go to Gatling.

The credit card charges were returned as unauthorized, and it left her holding the $90,000 bill and caused her to lose her business.

Chris Gatling according to police was running several internet businesses to gather the card numbers. He then ran the numbers through other businesses for items and services the victims never authorized.

Detectives say it all took place out of a call center in Phoenix.

Chris Gatling was on probation and was arrested during a meeting with his probation officer. Police executed a search warrant on his residence and Gatling’s partner Parker Trost’s residence.

Chris Gatling was booked into jail and released. He was charged with fraud, aggravated identity theft, and forgery.
