Buzz Lightyear Confiscated: 5-Year-Old Crushed When Airport Security Throws Out Favorite Toy

A five-year-old boy returning home with his family after his first visit to Walt Disney World was brought to tears when TSA agents confiscated his Buzz Lightyear toy and threw it in the trash, saying it “looked too much like a gun.”

David and Levi Zilka, of Pennsylvania, only packed carry-ons for the quick trip to the happiest place on earth, which only made the situation worse since, per TSA regulations, all replica firearms – even those of the Disney variety – must be checked. Since the father and son had no checked luggage, the toy, which little Levi’s uncle bought for him, had to go in the trash.

“We understand that things are scary out there right now, but taking a toy from a 5-year-old doesn’t enhance national security,” said David. “It was all I could do not to break down with him in that moment.”

And once little Levi realized what was happening, that’s exactly what he did – broke down and bawled. But hey, at least everyone aboard the plane was safer for the duration of the flight thanks to the thoroughness of the TSA.

So.. TSA wants a toy for one of their relatives for Christmas… seems like an easy way to get it done. Yeah… the toy probably landed in the trash… right up until the folks left… then you can be assured it was recovered by TSA and given to one of THEIR kids. TSA are thieves and we all know it. Here’s what they don’t know: “Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; But if he be found, he shall restore SEVENFOLD; even if he shall give all the substance of his house.” Kinda like “what goes around, comes around” I wouldn’t want to be that TSA agent who stole this toy.
