Braylon Edwards, a former NFL wide receiver was arrested on suspicion of extreme DUI in Scottsdale.
Braylon Edwards, 32, was pulled over in the early hours of May 4 and had a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.20, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08, according to the police. That qualifies as an “extreme DUI” in Scottsdale.
Edwards appeared to be in the Phoenix area to cover the Arizona vs. Arizona State “Duel in the Desert” track and field meet for Pac-12 Network, according to his Instagram account.
This is Edwards’ second DUI arrest; he was also arrested in 2010 in New York while playing for the Jets.
Edwards played at Michigan from 2001-04, becoming a star wide receiver. He caught 252 passes for 3,541 yards and 39 touchdowns during his Wolverines career, all career team records.
The former Harper Woods Gallagher standout was drafted No. 3 overall in the 2005 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. He also played for the Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
