Bob Barry Jr : Sportscaster killed in wreck caused by man in country illegally

The driver blamed in the death of longtime Oklahoma sportscaster Bob Barry Jr. was charged Tuesday with a felony driving offense with a maximum punishment of five years in prison.

According to an accident report released Wednesday, Barry died from injuries to his head, trunk, arms, and legs.

The accident report also stated that he took “no improper action” in the crash. He was simply a victim.

Castillo-Gutierrez tested positive for cocaine at the time of the accident and was arrested for first-degree manslaughter, drug possession, making an illegal U-turn, and driving without a license.

Authorities confirmed that Castillo-Gutierrez is a Mexican national, deported on three previous occasions.

Sadly, Barry is far from being the only American killed by an illegal immigrant driving under the influence and without a license.

Joshua Fromer, Scott Coxell, Sara Escudero, Sgt. Brandon Mendoza and Drew Rosenberg are just a few of the many Americans murdered because of the federal government’s failure to enforce immigration law.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement stated that in just 2011, a staggering 35,927 illegal immigrants were arrested for driving under the influence.
