Bar Boycotts Rams : St. Louis sports bar stops happy hour for Rams' games

Bar Boycotts Rams After Players’ ‘Hands Up’ Protest at Sunday’s Game, The post was made on Facebook Monday morning and has been liked almost 40,000 times, generating over 6,500 comments.

The Time Out Sports Bar & Grille announced on Facebook it would cease holding happy hours during Rams games because of the “bone headed” move from Rams players.

“Due to the bone headed “hands up, don’t shoot” act by the number of Rams players on the Sunday game the Time Out Bar & Grill will no longer support the St Louis Rams, so we will no longer have Happy hours for the Rams games and all signs and pictures will be off the walls,” the Facebook post read. “We have to stand up to thugs who destroy our community and burn down local businesses, and boycott the other thugs/organizations who support them…”

As the bar pointed out in a subsequent Facebook post, freedom of speech is a real thing in this country.

On the other hand, the bar’s approach to the matter — particularly their phrasing and usage of the word “thugs” — seems a little, well, bone headed.
