Asda : Severed rat's head found in bag of frozen spinach

Asda customer’s shock at finding a RAT’S HEAD in bag of frozen spinach, Terri Powis only discovered the unwanted meat portion when the vegetables were defrosting in her steamer.

The 33-year-old office worker said the rodent’s head, wrapped in green leaves, slowly began to emerge.

I was poking around with it because I didn’t know what it was. I was gobsmacked when I realised what it was. It was horrible.

It was very fresh and really pink. It was a bit squashed but intact and must have been frozen soon after being severed.

Ms Powis bought the 98p bag of spinach from her local Asda in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire to prepare a chicken dinner for her 60-year-old mother.

We’d like to apologise for any upset cause to Ms Powis and we will work closely with the local authorities whilst they conduct their investigation.
