Amy Schumer: Comedian fans feel short-changed by show's brevity

Amy Schumer slammed for early show in Maine that was too short.

The Associated Press noted that the Trainwreck star said that she was onstage for about 47 minutes in Portland last week. However, many audience members said that it was actually closer to 35 or 40 minutes and felt shortchanged especially after learning that her second show ran for an hour. They took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

“Have seldom felt so ripped off at a show,” tweeted Richard Machlin. “Who do I contact for a refund? Disgraceful.”

Schumer herself tweeted about what happened and why the first show was so rushed.

After her tweet, some attendees admitted that she was great but “someone dropped the ball.” Others vowed not to travel to Portland for shows anymore.

“Very disappointed that we went through the effort of pre-sale for the original show, only to be ripped off because a second show was later added and they got the longer set,” said Jason King. “Amy Schumer was great, but someone dropped the ball due to greed.”

“We will be driving to Bangor or Boston for all of our shows from now on!” Melissa Rodney added.
