Actor Al Molinaro, who played Al in the TV series Happy Days, has died at the age of 96 from medical complications.
Al, full name Albert Francis Molinaro, was the owner of Arnold’s drive-in and became the world’s favourite TV chef.
His passing was confirmed by his son Michael Molinaro, who issued a statement revealing his dad had died at a hospital in Wisconsin.
Al died after suffering complications from gallstone problems at a hospital in California. According to TMZ, he had decided not to have surgery because of his age.
Starring alongside Henry Winkler as The Fonz in Happy Days, which finished in 1984, he starred in the spin-off Joani Loves Chachi.
In fact, he was such a legend that 90s band Weezer put him in their Buddy Holly music video, just because they loved him so much.
Others TV shows his fans will know him from include Step By Step, The Odd Couple and Punky Brewster.
He is survived by his wife Betty and his son Michael.
